Palais Royale Toronto Wedding | Erika + Tim

On a personal note, I love being near the water, maybe it’s because I’m a cancer but it’s probably because there is always something so calming and beautiful about the water. When Erika reached out to me for her mid- May wedding, I was so excited to see it was at Palais Royale in Toronto. The lakeshore views and character filled space of palais royale were the perfect complement to their springy and colourful wedding.

Palais Royale is truly one of my favourite venues to flower. From the art-deco inspired ceiling covered in custom in house lighting (ask them about it TRUST ME) to the gorgeous view of Toronto from their patio there are so many gorgeous places to put florals.

Erika and Tim, truly made their wedding special. The second we arrived we could feel an immense amount love and excitement for not only the day but for Erika and Tim.

For ceremony flowers Erika and I wanted to work on a plan to reuse as much as her ceremony florals in her reception. It was also important to both of us that we let the gorgeous lakeside view at Palais Royale shine. We did this by creating a gorgeous floral meadow. The meadow was filled with roses, delphiniums, bupleurum, cremons and so many gorgeous local blooms. We made the meadow in 5 pieces that we moved by their head table and in front of their welcome sign.

Some of the centerpieces also did double duty at Erika and Tim’s wedding ceremony and reception. We lined their aisle with lush compote floral arrangements, that were later moved onto their tables.

Bud vases adorned the rest of the reception tables. Erika hand picked and thrifted all of the budvases themselves. Touches like this are truly what make a wedding special.

I felt so lucky to be a part of Erika and Tim’s wedding. This day was so special and filled with love that you can feel it through the photos.
